We always enjoy our time in Kelowna and were glad to get back again this year. To help with our mileage goals, we traveled via Vancouver which made for a little longer journey and just enough time to enjoy Kelowna for one full day.

Without a specific plan, after breakfast, we decided to head north towards Vernon to see if we could find some new things to explore.

As we were looking for a new place to visit, we saw Oyama Lookout on the map, and decided to head there

As the road was getting a little rough, we walked the last few kilometres to the lookout, passing through some previously burned areas

After a great happy hour at the restaurant, we had a last look before heading back to the hotel with a new bottle of wine

As we had no plans to check luggage, we had to be content with one bottle of wine to end the evening.

Although our flight wasn’t too early, we didn’t have time for more than breakfast and a drive to the airport. On our way through Vancouver, we had a chance to check out a new Air Canada cafe lounge that had opened in the last few weeks, and ran into some fellow frequent travelers that we had also run into on our way to Kelowna. It was a fun coincidence that validated that we all probably travel too much, but I knew that already.
