Nassau

Although we're not beach people, I was continuing to take advantage of Hilton location opportunities and decided to give the Bahamas a try.  The flights were short and reasonably priced and we enjoyed the break from December weather.  Although in the daytime it was overrun with cruise ship passengers, the city was quaint and the local history was interesting and the people were very friendly.  On Saturday we took an extended walk from the hotel to Paradise Island and saw the spectacle that is Atlantis.  It had a Disney feel to it and was very different than the real Bahamas in Nassau, but could certainly see how much they had invested in the experience.  We had a pretty low key weekend and were happy to have experienced another Caribbean island.
