My Aunt Pat and Uncle Joe are celebrating their 50th anniversary this year, so their children planned a celebration on the August long weekend in Winnipeg.  My family and the majority of my mother's family made it out and we had a great visit.  We were lucky enough to be able to rent a house next to my cousin's where most of the gatherings took place so it was very convenient.  On Saturday before the party we explored the Forks area of Winnipeg, and on Sunday a number of us took an extended bike ride through the city parks.  In addition to the great family time, I was really impressed with what Winnipeg had to offer.
